Q. I am looking for a home tutor for my son/daughter, How do I contact you.
Ans. It’s really easy, Register on our home page as a parent/student, fill up the details and our team will contact you at the earliest.
Q. I need to meet the tutor before I commit for tuition, Is it possible?
Ans. Yes, we provide a free demonstration class from the tutor wherein you get to meet the tutor & the student also gets to know if the tutor is suitable for him/her.
Q. Can I take as many free demos as I like ?
Ans. Even before the demo we can arrange a telephonic conversation with the tutor so that you can check communication skill, timing availability & subject matter.
Once you are satisfied with that conversation you can go with the free demo session & even then if you are not satisfied with the tutor, you are free to reject him/her. We can arrange 2-3 free demo sessions from different tutors as their rejection also lowers their confidence & rating.
Q. If I commit for tuitions, am I eligible to ask for tutor’s replacement?
Ans. Yes, you can ask for the replacement anytime if you are not satisfied with the services, we will arrange a suitable replacement within 7 days.
Q. Will the same tutor continue for the entire year?
Ans. Yes, generally our tutors continue for the whole session but most of the tutor are freelancers so with a prior notice & of course with a valid reason they may discontinue, in that case we will arrange a suitable replacement within notice period.
Q. Can I make the payment once the month is over?
Ans. No, we take advance monthly payments & tutors are paid once the month is complete. This brings commitment from both the sides and this system is working well so we don’t see any reason to think otherwise.
Q. The tutor I spoke to has a thick accent, should I reject him?
Ans. We have tutors from different parts of country, some of them may lack in communication skills but the same tutor may be well equipped with the tricks & methods to teach subjects like mathematics & science. So, our suggestion is to take a demo class & then decide his/her quality instead of his accent basis. Yet the final call is yours and you can reject or accept a tutor on any ground.

Ans. It’s your choice. We provide both in-home tutoring & online tutoring opportunities.

Ans. You can simply click on “Register as a Tutor” button on our home page, fill in the details and our team contacts you in next 1-2 working days for further procedures.
Q. What happens after I register as a Tutor with academymantra.com ?
Ans. Once you have registered as a tutor we need to do a screening & interview so that we could assess your suitability for the job before enrolling in academymantra.com ; For the screening, Please bring all your education certificates, a copy of your resume, id proof and passport sized photograph. Though we focus on basics, it will help if you brush up the subjects that you want to teach.
Q. How much would I have to travel for the tuition jobs?
Ans. It depends on how much you want to travel. academymantra.com will provide you with job leads, you can choose a job according to your preference.
Q. Do I need to pay any fee to register as a tutor?
Ans. No, You can register for free.
Q. Does academymantra.com provide teachers with a teaching pattern and study material?
Ans. No, we respect individuality, we know that every tutor has a different way of teaching just like every student has a different way of understanding. However, we would like our tutors to take regular assessments and provide students with home work, so that their learning is on track.
Q. Will I be paid for the demo class?
Ans. Demo class is a way of checking your compatibility with a student and also it provides customer with a satisfaction. academymantra.com has a policy of providing free demo session, so you will not be paid for the demo session.
Q. Should i prepare for a demo class?
Ans. Absolutely, we will provide you with all the details about the job before the demo session. You should be well prepared for the demo session before going.
Q. How and when will i be paid?
Ans. During the screening process, you will be told about the commission procedure on which the company works. Once you have started with the tutoring job, you will be paid after the completion of 1 month.
Q. What if I want to leave the job for some reason?
Ans. Once you have committed to the job, it is your moral duty to finish it. However, if such circumsatnce arises, you should inform the agency atleast 2 weeks before you plan on doing so.

Ans. Absolutely, poor schooling system in last few years has made the demand for home tuitions quite high, if you are dedicated, punctual & confident about your subject knowledge, you can look at home tutoring as a professional career.
Q. Will I be getting any kind of experience certificate ?
Ans. Yes, if you work for more than a year with academymantra.com, you can collect your experience certificate from us.
Q. How many chances will be given for the demo session if I am not getting selected for the tuition jobs?
Ans. If you are not getting selected, you need to work on your subject knowledge & personality development. After 3 successive failures of your demo sessions, you will not be given job opportunity for the next one month so that you have enough time to be well prepared.
Q. What is your revenue share/commission?
Ans. Our revenue share/commission differs on various parameters & you will be explained all about it during screening session.
Q. Is there any TDS applicable on our payment ?
Ans. No, there is no TDS applicable on your payments, we simply deduct our share & give you your payment.
Q. Good. This means that I do not need to pay any Income Tax on this?
Ans. This is your income. You are liable to pay any tax applicable for this. Most of our tutors do not fall in the tax bracket. In case you do, you can deduct reasonable expenses like conveyance, books etc. while filing your taxes. We suggest that you take advice of a CA on this.
Q. I am shifting to some other location. I cannot continue.
Ans. Please make sure that you have informed academymantra & the students in advance so that we can arrange for a suitable replacement.
